Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect directly from you

Depending on how you use the site, you may provide us with:

• Contact details — name, email address, and phone number.
• Ticket & order information — when you buy a ticket, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your name, email, phone number, and billing address. We receive a confirmation of your purchase and store your name, email, ticket type, and a ticket code.
• Application & submission content — if you apply as an artist/DJ, vendor, food vendor, fire/flow performer, live painter, media team member, theme camp, or volunteer, we collect the information you enter, which may include your legal and stage name, email, phone, business name, social media and portfolio links, bios, availability, and uploaded files such as photos or licensing/permit documents.
• Communications — the contents of messages you send through our contact form or by email.

2. Information we collect automatically

When you visit the site, we and our analytics/advertising providers may automatically collect usage data using cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including your device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, scroll depth, time on page, referring/exit pages, and marketing identifiers passed in the URL (such as utm_*, fbclid, and gclid). We also store limited information in your browser’s local storage to remember your cart. See our Cookie Notice for details.

3. Information we receive from third parties

• Stripe — payment confirmation and billing details for purchases (Stripe processes your card information directly; see Section 5).
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google — advertising and measurement identifiers and interaction data associated with our ads and pixels.
• Instagram (public) — if you participate in a public DJ competition or promotion by commenting on our posts, we may record your public Instagram handle to tally entries.

4. How we use your information

• Provide tickets and services — process purchases, issue tickets and credentials (including QR-code PDFs), manage entry, and administer applications and volunteer/vendor participation.
• Communicate with you — send transactional email (order confirmations, credentials, application status, replies to inquiries) and occasional festival announcements to people who have given us their information.
• Analytics and improvement — understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
• Advertising and marketing measurement — measure and optimize our advertising, including cross-context behavioral advertising and audience building (see Section 6).
• Security, fraud prevention, and legal — protect the site and our events, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with the law.

5. Payments

Ticket and vendor payments are processed by Stripe. Your full payment card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout and are handled by Stripe under their privacy policy — we do not receive or store your full card number. We receive limited details such as your name, email, phone, billing address, and a confirmation that payment succeeded. Applicable Colorado state and Park County event sales tax is applied at checkout.

6. Analytics & advertising technologies

We use the following measurement tools on public pages:

For advertising measurement we may disclose certain identifiers and usage data to Meta and Google. Under some U.S. state privacy laws this may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, or “targeted advertising.” You can opt out at any time — see Your Privacy Choices, and we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. 7. Email communications

We send transactional email through Amazon SES and/or our hosting provider. Transactional messages (such as ticket confirmations and application replies) are sent because you purchased or contacted us. Where we send non-transactional announcements, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe option in the message or by emailing us. We never sell your email address.

8. How we disclose your information

We disclose personal information in these circumstances:

• Service providers that perform functions on our behalf — for example Stripe (payments), Amazon Web Services and our web host (email and hosting), Google (analytics and document storage), and Meta (advertising).
• Advertising partners (Meta, Google) for the measurement and audience purposes described in Section 6.
• Legal and safety — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Badger, our attendees, or others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, operate the event, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Ticket, purchase, and application records are retained for our business and accounting needs and then deleted or anonymized.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information through insecure channels.

11. Children’s privacy

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Attendees must be at least 18, or accompanied by a parent or guardian who consents on their behalf. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to: access or know the personal information we hold about you; request deletion; request correction; and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and of targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may exercise the rights above, including the right to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, use Your Privacy Choices; if you visit with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for that browser.

To exercise any right, email info@badgermusicfestival.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and you may use an authorized agent where permitted by law.

13. Third-party links and embeds

Our site links to and may embed content from third parties (for example Instagram, and interactive lineup tools). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
