Hartsel's Got a Music Festival

Hartsel, Colorado — the heart of South Park, surrounded by the Mosquito Range, Antero Reservoir, and some of the darkest skies in the state. In August 2026, it becomes home to Badger Music & Arts Festival: three days of bass music, electronic beats, art installations, and a community built on respect for the land.

Born from Badger Bass Camp — a Denver bass music institution — the festival moved to Hartsel for the space, the sky, and the silence between the beats. At 9,000 feet in Park County, the sound carries different. The air is clean. The stars are impossible.

On Thursday, August 13, we kick off with a pre-party timed to the peak of the Perseid meteor shower during a new moon. No light pollution. No city glow. Just 80-100 meteors per hour streaking across the Milky Way while Jamtronic beats fill the valley. This is what Hartsel was made for.
